The 48-56 forum has a running thread called Working Trucks. I don't know if you guys here have such a thread so I started one.
I used my 1970 F-350 to haul a load of concrete to the landfill. There was more concrete than I thought. I had to go to the lumber yard to buy 2 2x8's for additional sideboards. I planned on adding them anyhow, just not this soon.
I am trying to get some hauling jobs to help my new truck pay for itself. Here is what I hauled last week: a big load of brush:
Pulling the old horse trailor, needed a trailor with a ramp to move my toolbox from my last job, much to heavy and bulky to lift into the truck. Need to stop to take more pics when I work the truck.
Nice working truck but the load of concrete looks like an accident looking for a place to happen. One little bump and pieces falling off into traffic.
Yes, I know what you mean, but I went up on the bed and made sure things were sitting right, I added the new sideboards. We live in a rural area of Central PA and I left at 6:30 am. I took the back way to the landfill and took it real easy around the turns...
