Blown spark plug
My 2003 f150 4.6 blew the number 8 plug, is this a common thing with this engine, though I've never had a problem with it, I did some research on it and am finding that it may be, was wondering what years are more prone to this?

Not as common in '03 or 4.6L's but any 2V modular can do it. They seem to usually be #3 or #4 for some reason. I think it is because they are the hardest to get to and not torqued right as much as the others.

I have a 2000 f150 with the 4.6 engine, and it blew plugs in # 5 and 6. Mine was repaired by a previous owner with helicoils, but they were causing misfires and plug fouling. I replaced them with Timeserts and they are doing fine. There are some threads on the Timeserts you might want to check out.
