V code Mod

Have any of you taken the top overload from a B code and added it to your V code for some extra lift? If so, how much height did you get out of it, and was the ride really harsh? I am looking for an inch or so of more height than what the stock V code will give my EX.

Thanks.

Do you already have the V code? If not, go with the X code instead. Problem solved.

I already have the V codes, but they're not in yet.

WE3ZS did it with a set of x-code springs so I don't see why you shouldn't be able to do it with the v-codes.

Here is a link with pics that show how he did it.

Thanks for the link. The reason I am considering this is because when I install the modded B's and my RAS, I want to be as close to level as possible. The RAS will give mean extra inch, or at least it did when I installed it on my stock springs......

I gained nearly 2" when I installed V-code springs on my otherwise stock X. If it weren't for the airbags I'd be higher in the front than the rear, so I'm not sure that you'd need the increased height.

If you want to stay closer to even height then you should install the RAS with the B-codes un-modified.

Most mod the B-codes so they can gain a few inches in the rear. It is also supposed to help with the ride but the RAS should handle the difference in the ride that is gained with the moded B-codes.

Don't mod the B's, keep them original and along with your stock blocks and the RAS, you *should* be spot on, or fairly close, to an aesthetically pleasing rake/stance.

Thanks guys, I didn't want to do the front end twice!! I am leaning toward foregoing the added leaf in the front and sticking with stock B 's.

You can always go one above the V code and go with the W code if you want.

That makes no sense.

He already has the V's, why would he spend MORE money to buy W's when he can just modify his plans for the rear?
