I have an 05' 250 with a 6.0 A couple months ago it over heated while towing our 26' camper. We found the coolant level was low so filled it back up. It over heated one more time, this time the coolant puked out the degas cap. Since then it has not over heated, how ever it does loose coolant. The rate at which it looses it varies, sometimes it goes weeks without hardly loosing any an other times it goes only a day or two under the same driving conditions. Some of the time it looses it by puking others it just disappears without sign of leaking. There is no sign of coolant in the oil, an no sign of coolant in the exhaust. Truck runs fine as well. I am afraid that its the head gasket, but i don't wanna spend tons of money on that if it could be an easier fix. Please, if anyone can help me.... please do. Thank you!

Run through the steps and it gives you a correct answer every time, it's just more involved than some people are willing to mess with on their own.
