That thread was interesting reading. Every truck is going to break down at some point. You can count on it!! People forget these are mechanical things. Mechanical things have slight variations in manufacturing process no matter how much they try to make every single one identical. Maybe a few of the 6.0s were legitimate lemons. I bet there were a few lemon 7.3s as well. It also depends on what you do and how you maintain it.
I'd take a 6.0 that's been properly taken care of any day. Of course, with my luck, I'd be the first one to break it.
