custom tunes???

Im about to have my engine rebuilt, will I need to new tunes. How much does the strategy change?

You dont necessarily need to add tunes to it but tunes really wake the 6.0L up. I would at least make sure and have them install ARP studs and factory head gaskets while they are in there and it would also be a good time to send your FICM to Ed at Ficmrepair.com to get tuned up.

I have a sct with tunes from Eric How would the ficm tune help?

Some folks report increased fuel mileage and better throttle response but the main reason for having the FICM gone through is increased reliabilty due to the quality of components used when rebuilding it and higher FICM voltage output for the injectors. The FICM has known failure points and those are addressed when they are rebuilt.

Ok I'm going to look into it. Do it has to go to b reprogram at dealer

It doesnt need to go to the dealer to be reprogrammed. You just take your FICM and package it up and send it to Ficmrepair they rebuild it and send it back to you. Go to ficmrepair.com and follow their instructions on how to ship it to them. They also have a good FAQ that answers common questions.

You should yield 1-2 mpg increase with the atlas ficm tune & better starts!
