No sir. You need a small block tranny from a 5.8 V8, 5.0 V8, or 4.9 I6.

I was 90% sure it wouldn't.wish full thinking.now you said small block will work.I was told by a junkyard that only 95 will work on 95,because of sender in tranny to computer.other years won't read.also they said 5.0 will not bolt up.could you clarify this. Thanks again

Well, you're still using the same computer in the truck, and it will plug into the tranny and control it still. I'm fairly certain any year E4OD will work. And I'm also fairly certain that any small block E4OD will work because of this too. However. I believe that at some point they changed some of the plug ins and the solenoid packs so some of that may have to get changed. I know it was between 94 and 97 that one of these changes occured. but I think anything 95 or older will be the same and 96 and 97 may be the updated ones. Somebody else will confirm this or deny this im sure.

Ford changed the connector design for the MLPS and solenoid pack in 1995. Ford also moved the protection diodes from the solenoid pack to the PCM. These diodes are designed to protect the transmission driver transistors in the PCM. If the OP wants to use a 1994 and older transmission they will have to swap the newer MLPS and solenoid pack to work with their 1995 and newer vehicle.
