I have 243,000 on my original auto tranny in my 97 PS. I have about 20 trips to vegas (400miles round trip) with my 20 ft gooseneck loaded with firewood ahead of me in Oct and Nov of this year. Then my wife and I are going to full time RV with our 34ft Prowler ( 12,800lbs loaded ). I have decided to put a BTS from Brian's Shop in Lead Hill,AR which is 1500 miles one way for us. Brian will ship me the tranny and I can have it installed, but my little voice in the back of my head says " go to Lead Hill" and have it done at Brian's. How about some opinions please. Thanks

Listen to your gut feeling. That feeling is the same one that told you to replace the tranny.

I did check the John Wood site and the mileage from me is really much, much better and would allow me to go and have it installed with out a problem. I would like to hear from some PS people about the John Wood tranny. Who out there has one and how do you rate it. I know this is a difficult thing to do but you guys opinions mean something to me. Those of us who have decided to keep our wing windows usually have some pretty good thoughts about these sort of things. Thanks

Go getter done by BTS. Its an experience to experience, lol. That place is amazing. Plus he might let you check out some of the other rides in his shop. Good luck
