help with a measurement
I need a favor. I need to know the inside width of a '53-'56 bed. The front panel and the rear cross sill , under the tailgate, has been replaced on mine and I believe the bed is about 1 inch wider than stock.A metal floor is lying in the bed but is not fastened down. Thanks.

that spec page is good. I actually measured 49 1/2 from the inside of one bed wall to the other, and 78 1/2 from the inside front to the tail gate. the spec says 49.
My bed was all botched up and I really didn't know what I had dimensions wise till I got all the old plywood and crap the P.O. used out of there.
