Something like this: Ram Air Box
you can make you own, just add another snorkle to the stock air set up and run some dryer duct to the front to get fresh air to the carb
To LARIAT85 I just have the stock factory 2 barrel carb
In that case, you want the 1982 Mustang GT dual snorkel air cleaner. The 1982 Mustang GT air cleaner fit a stock Motorcraft 2150 carburetor, which should be the same as what you have. It is fairly easy to spot. There is a sticker on the air cleaner lid that reads "5.0 Liter H.O."
The 1983 - 1985 version is a bit different and will not fit a 2V carburetor. The air cleaner base is a bit larger and flatter to accommodate the larger 4V carburetor. The air cleaner sticker on these models will read "5.0 Liter 4V H.O."
Hey guys im getting confused on this whole Cold air intake.. i understand my clubwagon is getting snorkle from front of the grill, but others labeled cold air intake is just sucking in engine compartment hot air ????
I usually just keep her wide open and let her suck the air in while it's still cool before it has a chance to get hot.
I know, maybe was no help.
Providing a source of cool air is not the same as force feeding it cool air. I have seen a few where guys plumbed them hoping to create a ram air effect ... but that can create a high pressure area over the carburetor inlet that can lead to a lower vacuum signal downward through the carb venturi which then exerts less pull on the fuel supply circuits that then will pull less fuel up out of the float bowls. I also think about if driving in a heavy rain with a paper air filter fed only pressurized wet air from the front of the vehicle.

Hey Oliver
I am totally with you on this one. Engine compartment surely is NOT COLD AIR.
To me cold air intake is ducted strictly from in front of the core support.......Large enough to support the CFM needed for the engine...
