My early 03 f350 6.o 4x4 cc, with 208k starting to not crank up after I have driven it. Does not do it all the time. Seems like when I drive it around 75 mph is when I have the problem.
The next town is 10 miles away; Today I drove 75 ( staying up with traffic ) to Lowe's, got back in the truck within 10 min. and the truck would not start. I waited about 30 min. and it started up. I drove about 70 mph 30 miles away to the job site and the truck started back up fine. I waited about 5 min. tried starting the tuck up again, it seem to take about twice as long to crank but it did.
I get no codes and it started doing this last sat.
Any body have an idea of the problem (s)?
Thanks
TruckoffFord
The first time it did it was sat.
I went to a friend and he scanned for codes and got a p2290 (If I remember right) with related to the ICP , after looking it up. I took it to the Dealer and had them replace the ICP and pigtail yesterday. After I left the Dealer I made a stop and when I started it back up (no problem) I got an engine light a P0405. I cleaned the EGR Sat. night after waiting about 30 min. the first time it would not start. P0405 has to due with the recic. gas. (My scanner came today so I read it and cleared it.) Today when it would not start I got no codes.

P2285 is the usual Bad ICP DTC
Where you screwed Up is when You told them to change the ICP sensor
Unless your 110% shure what the problem is let them figure it out if your going to take it to the Dealer they get paid by the repair so they will Fix a Part every Business day of the WQeek if thats what you want
it Also Covers there A$$ if YOUR Calling the Shots
Next time it goes in let them Do there thing if thats the route your going have them diagnose it and call before repair make shure its reasonable have them tell ya why
If the Moter wont run and they call and want to change a Tire then you know not to have them DONT Touch F!@KING Anything
Yea, I know it was a gamble but the pigtail was oily and I knew 6.0 have a problem with the icp. If the truck doesn't work, neither do I!
I got a Equus 3120, CanOBO 2 and 1 tool kit from Summit Racing. I haven't read everything yet but seems to be a nice unit.
I had the FICM resolder about a year ago.
Now I'm told it could be HPO problems - not sure what that is! But sould like a lot of money!
