ESN location?

Where can I find my engine serial number if the sticker is gone? Can it be pulled up via computer of maybe stamped on the side of the block somewhere?

There is flat machined surface just above the oil filter, where it is stamped.

Here are a few pictures to help out. They can sometimes be hard to spot depending on rust and if it was a Brazilian made motor or not.
