Anyone read my welding lessons? Indy are you getting penetration or are the beads just sitting on top the metal? I highly recommend you use 0.025 ESAB Spoolarc Easy Grind wire for sheetmetal work.

I am getting good penetration...could be a little more...will have to keep playing with power setting to get it dialed in.

I have been reading your tutorial and have found it very useful! Thanks

Use the power and wire feed speed setting recommended for the metal thickness on the machine, not more than one metal thickness setting to either side and vary the wire stick out (1/4 -3/8" is ideal, never more than 3/4") and torch movement speed to adjust penetration. Butt seams should be tight together, never wider than the filler wire diameter. Using a copper or aluminum backer pressed tight to reduce blow thru. Filler wire should not be thicker than the metal.
