I am puchasing a 94 f150 xlt 4x4 and I am trying to find out if there has been any issues with the electronic 4x4 on the 94 f150 xlt. Anyone have any input?

 

My 94 has the push button 4x4 on it and I haven't had any issues with it yet. I have had the truck for 2 years. The P.O. had it for 8 years and never had any issues either.

 

i here that you should swap to manual lockouts cus the autos like to stick on or and everybody knows electronic stuff is bad for you

 

If you wheel hard or use the 4x4 alot you would want to swap to manual hubs but if it's just the occasional use most people don't have any issues with them. I personally prefer the stick on the floor, one less thing to go wrong/worry about.

I had to replace the electric shift motor on the back of the transfer case on my 98 ranger but no issues with the f150 so far.
