When i had a guy install my a/c he took out the glove box & when
i went back to pick up the truck he ran a piece of string around one
of the defroster screws on the dash to hold the glove box shut
he said that he lost the spring that holds it shut !! Does anyone out there
just might have one & if so would you sell it? thanks Bob
Aren't those things a pain - mine kept flopping open so I ordered a new one - didn't improve much - might even be a little worse - but it's better than not having one.
Hmmmmm, I never knew there was supposed to be one
Haven't put the door back on... don't think there was a spring there when I took it apart.
Learn sumpin new everyday.
The one on my 54 (looks like different design) snapped closed on my finger and hurt like the dickens. Just the hinge itself. It is a spring that cams when you open it a certain distance. But once you close it a certain distance it can slam closed. At least that is how mine works. Be nice if you guys could come up with a similar design.
