Okay, you're saying that the oil pressure switch closes (engine running) to provide power to the inertia switch.
And... the selector works and the pumps run if you apply power directly to the inertia switch.
BUT, you still can't get the pumps to run, even with the engine running?

Wiring wise I don't really know how but the end result is working except no power during cranking, but running yes. What sidelined me aparently was a combination of the rear tank running dry and the front pump giving up. I'm assuming the pumps were never on during cranking the whole time I've owned it, explains why after sitting a while it can be hard to start.
I'm going to add a wire to apply power during cranking but now am concentrating on replacing the front pump and sender. I am a little worried that something in this adventure is what killed the front pump and I haven't found the real problem cause it only shows up when the truck is hot. And I'm thinking I'll soon just be rewiring the pumps to eleminate any potental issues and replaceing the rear pump/sender to get my gauge working.
