engine starting question
I have a 1978 supercab 4x4 frame ,engine(400)all the drive train
I was told the motor runs and I need to know what I would have to do to get it to start The engine wire harness is all their .Everything was unpluged from with fire wall so this is all the wiring that I have to work with

I'll take a stab at it...
- battery grounded to engine
- starter solinoid (which is grounded through it's mounting bracket)
- ignition module with power to the red wire in the two wire connector.
- power to coil, best if through ballast resistor, 12v can burn it out
- fuel supply
Should do it - that's all I can think of...

does the ignition module have to be grounded in any way???

I hooked everything up and she turned over great and surprisingly it runs good too. It has visiable leaks from the oil pan and the valve covers but for a 100.00 for the whole working drive train and engine does not seem that bad
