E Fuel Filter Question

I have been reading over all of the E fuel setups on here and most using remote filter bases are running them like this:

( tank splitter -> fuel/water separator -> pump -> fuel filter -> engine )

I was just curious if it would cause a problem to run the filters in series like this:

(tank splitter -> fuel/water separator -> fuel filter -> pump -> engine)

This would make it easier for my build if it doesn't create a pressure drop or restriction. What do you guys think? Im using a super duty pump just so you know.

you will need a filter after the pump in case the fuel pump self destructs or has metal shaving from it the sd has a screen filter before in tank and filter after pump on the engine also there wont be a restriction if you have the filter after the pump unless the filter is plugged up
