radiator drain plug replacement

How do I remove the plug? It is the winged type and it didn't want to unscrew anymore.

For the copper/brass radiators: There should be a hex base you can put a wrench on to unscrew. I believe they are 1/4" pipe thread. Just be careful as you don't want to wreck the rad.

Is this on the 83?

On my '80 the draincock was soldered in.
I learned this when I couldn't unscrew it, so I put a little heat on it and it slid right out, no threads on it.
