Does anyone remember "JALOPIES" ?

The chopper of racing - get an old heap, rip the doors, roof, trunk fenders, hood, and everything off of it that you can. Slap on some desert tires, and away you go - ready for Baja, the Beach, or anywhere...

Rat Rods are an improvement - a true jalopy is whatever is left that still runs when you junk as much of a car or truck as you can and still have it hold together structurally

Naturally, I mention this because there is no way in heck you can drive a thing like that anywhere, especially offroad, with conservation having become as "VIGOROUS"
(IE: PESTIFEROUS) as it is in the modern age

The safety weenies whine because of the roll cage and seat belts being missing
The politically correct have their panties in a wad over emissions
President Ebona is against it because it uses light bulbs
Martha Stewart hates it because it's ugly
Hillary Clinton loves it because it reminds her of one of her girlfriends
Ralph Nader is doubtless rolling in his grave...

GOT the PICTURE?

'them thangzzz

They are what consumers predicted cars and trucks would look like after CARB re-legislated what was allowed to be in automotive paint back in about 1989...
