My truck is loud inside. The guy I bought it from switch the interior. Anyway I don't know if they didn't put enough insulation in or what but I wanna know what I should do to help deaden the sound a bit? Insulate under the floor and firewall more? Which is he best product to use? I'm clueless!
Expensive stuff is the dynomat. Inexpensive is the stuff from Lowes, not sure on the name. Also filling your door seals with the foam rod stuff cuts down on wind noise. Another trick I read was to rhino line the outside of your valve covers, with like 3 coats, will cut down on injector clatter.
Tubing the inside of your door seals is stupid.
Just get new door seals. They are failing because the rubber is breaking down. Don't half *** it, do it right.
Doing your carpet right in the cab makes a huge difference.
I left the tough mat in mine and carpeted over it as well to reduce road noise.
There are just SOO many things you can do that will actually work that isn't silly ****. Just costs money.
