NP435 out of a 75 HB,pulled head off looks real clean ,notice lower main gear, two chiped teeth.JBG carries that gear, any one have an Idea what it would cost to have that replaced and syncros new installed.rough idea. thankyou my tranny is out of my frame
price it out at a trans rebuilder and if it is too much you can buy my trans from my 74 HB ..in NJ...seroiusly I don't know what it would cost, but that is what I would do if I had that problem, price to get it redone and if too much look for a good used one..good luck
lafermedavid, have you considered rebuilding the NP435 yourself, if you're even the slightest bit mechanically inclined it's an insanely easy transmission to rebuild, detailed instructions come with the rebuild kit.
Hey Montana,I took top off,and thats sort of what I thought, but just never tore into tranny, looked up gear on JBG 90$ gear 15$ syncronizers, your post is sort of what I wanted to hear.So I will attempt,Thanks Montana
You can bolt an NV4500 in using an adapter plate from advance adapters. That option costs about $3000. The ranger overdrive unit by advance adapters looks like a good option for $1500 if you have 450 ft. lbs. of torque or less. You can get 15 MPG put of a high boy with a built 390, 4.10's and overdrive driving 70 mph.
