Need for Speed Thread

Hey, guys. Do any of you play the Need For Speed series? It's a really cool video game series by Electronic Arts. You play as some of the coolest cars of all makes and models, and you race against players in urban streets, and drive around like a complete maniac, and get chased by the cops. It's so much fun. It's packed with destruction of cars, sidewalk objects and other racers.

This video will give you a good concept in your head.

I play it by having one of my human masters put the disk in my CD player and playing with my mind through the screen inside me.

We trucks can do amazing things you aren't even aware of.

Only thing bugs me about the game is you can't have a truck in it...

EXCEPT that there was an SUV class in one of them - they made trucks out to be ruinously slow and bad cornering though.
I think it was NFS U-2 on PS2

I'm still trying to wrap my mind around that statement - but I can't...

How does a truck have a "mind" to be played with? - or sentience, for that matter?

The last I looked, NFS wasn't touch-screen compatible, nor could it be played through an audio CD player...

The new Need for Speed has the SVT Raptor in it.

I really wanna try it, just don't wanna shell out $60 for it.

NFS U-2 is, I think, on X-360 - no doubt with phenominal "Grass growing in cracks in the sidewalks" graphic realism - I don't know yet, because it is still on my wish list.

Also on the list is wiring my house for ethernet cable to connect everything I now have to a central router so they can all go online. All it takes is a drill, the end connectors, and a spool of multi-conductor wire to link it all up.

*Plus you have to be dedicated enough to crawl through all that insulation up in the attic space

My next-neighbor TY told me he was #150 in the world on NFS SHIFT

Right now I'm WAAAAAAY deep into SKYRIM tho....

I always spared no effort to get right straight to the GT-40!!!

But now, it's high time and then some that a FALCON UTE Super GT was featured...

(Even better if we could get a left-hand drive version of the Falcon UTE in the USA in IRL cold hard driveable STEEL!!! )

I WANT THAT...

It is simply the most bitchen truck on earth

*and that one is a 2008

Right now, the only way I know of to get my fuzzy claws on one is to visit Australia and export one to the docks in Memphis
*My insurance agent would likely poop himself

But then - a FORD TRUCK would hardly know about pooping out, would it?

They are absolutely completely and totally dazzling...
Or as our friends down under say:
"DIAMOND!"

I'll ask the general viewers now what they would think of getting one of those to run on the streets of America: Would you want a thing like that truck?
*Look at the aerodynamics - that HAS to be good for mileage, not to mention top speed...

It is foolish for trucks and vans to have a blunt front end

I'll have to check it out. I've been holding up on NFS "HOT PERSUIT" because my "X" is not yet online - I need wire and stuff.

HOT PERSUIT has a panther chassis cop car that I love to tears, buddy.

The "SILLY" hi-perf cop cars don't really interest me, being not real enough
What department on earth (except maybe Floridian, or 29 Palms) would buy an Italian super car for law enforcement duties?

Back in the day when there was no girls around to chase, we used to get need for speed hot pursuit going and drink a bunch of beer, had a blast doing it.

Im not a huge gamer now (wasnt back then either) and have tried a few of the newer ones, but hot pursuit was really the most fun one I have played.
