I have a KN filter in the stock airbox and the Hedman headers on my 03 without any tune and it runs great. Pulls well but rarely tow. I see the 5 star tune recommended alot, but unless it can gain some mpg I wouldnt need anymore power for 95 percent of my driving.

My truck also ran great and had plenty of power. After a few simple mods I even got pretty good mileage (for a V10). Like most guys, I still looked at a 5 Star Tuner because I wanted better MPG and more power for towing my RV. After reading TONS of people's posts about Mike's tunes I was still hesitant to spend $400. I finally bit the bullet when Mike reminded me that he has a money back guarantee. After loading the 87 Performance/Tow tune I got a solid 2 MPG gain in town and highway and more power when towing. It was definitely worth the money and will pay for itself in MPG, which makes the extra power FREE!

five star is worth it for the fun factor alone, MPG.................i'm on the fence. plus the trans shift points improve, they are more firm so it will last longer. I hate sloppy transmission shifts.
