Sounds like you know what you're doing. Too many people don't. That's what I do as well, as long as I get a decent amount of tongue weight.

2 weeks or so ago, I had to pick up my Bronco II with my flatbed, now that was before I got the airbags. I did have most of the load on the axles, but the rear of the truck still sagged, I estimate around 300-400 pounds on it. Power with the 5.0 was enough to pull it good enough, but towing it left a bit to be desired. I moved the load around a couple times, but really wasn't happy with the way it towed. Remember, this was the first towing I've done with this truck, and always used my F250 stroker before. I realize this thing is no SD, more of a car really, although I really don't need the capacity/capabilities of an SD anymore. If worse comes to worse, I always have the option of a big truck.

I may be hauling my New Holland TC35DA later this month. I guesstimate the gross trailer weight at being close tp 7200# or so. I hope I'm not disappointed, $52k plus for another SD is not in the cards this week! LOL

The trailer I used this weekend had a long tongue on it so the weight wasn't right on top of me. I wasn't able to weigh everything to see what my gross weight was but I was able to set my cruise @ 75 mph and had zero trailer sway/issues at all. If I had a GN then I would've have my xp 800 Polaris ranger on the trailer too.
