I need information on the code the AIH throws. My smog check up is soon and I hear that can fail you sometimes.
Trey,
Do the smog testing stations in your area have the ability to scan these trucks? Here in Arizona they just do an opacity test (snap test in Maricopa County or roller test in Pima County). Unless they can scan your truck, they'll never know about the AIH soft code...

Yep they plug in. But I dont know to what extent. I dont know if they just check for codes, or if they actually try to pull codes. They dont to any computer tests though, just a code check.

Bummer.
It might be easier just to put the AIH back in temporarily and then go through smog...
If the blue wire is still connected do I need a resistor? The first thread is kind of confusing.
You need the blue wire to be able to run CCT tests supposedly, although I cannot confirm.
The resistor is to give a draw to the power output from the relay to signal a loaded situation at KO tests. During a test, if they are actually pulling codes, then when activated the relay needs a load. Just rig up a temporary, permanent, wire going from the output of the relay to ground with 2 sets 470 ohm resistors twisted together, wrapped with electrical tape and wire loom, and connect the other end to a ground.
passed my test, in July....AIH deleted, wvo system, FRx, HPx....and the best thing, i JUST found out the other day, when messing with my el-cheapo scanner, that my OBD plug had no power to it. Pulled the fuse panel, only to see the fuse was missing. WHO KNOWS when that damn thing was removed...lol
