I would like to add driving lights to my truck that project as far as high beam but much stronger so I can see when it's dark. I tried hid headlamps which I didn't like on this, so now my fogs are 9005 hid and using piaa h13 headlight bulb. Can I mount piaa 5" ATP somewhere on number without using a light bar?
Do you need the front license plate? There's lots of room in that hole.
I'm in need of a roof rack, that's an option but unusual. I need to find a place for 4 bikes, roof is my only option while towing a fifth wheel camper. I may go with lights up there too.

I am interested in this answer too..
headlights just aren't enough.. didn't want to mount a bar either
The H13 in our trucks are terrible. Ford at least should have made projection lens for these. No I don't need front license plate, but it's not enough room for 2 bulbs, and it's too centered.

I installed two small Pia lights one each next to my license plate. Installers ran it to up fitter 1. The lights are far brighter than high beam and no light bar was needed. Very simple and effective. Perfect for those dark sling blade back roads where extra light is needed.
I installed a couple of HID driving lights on each side of the license plate bracket, in those holes in the bumper. I hooked them up to one of the upfitter switches and they work fine there.
These stock headlights are some of the worst I've had since ancient times, very poor pattern, way too much dispersion. Why couldn't Ford do a better job on this, my car has HID projectors and they are the cat's meow.

anybody double relay them? when the brights are on the driving lights are on, if upfitter 1 is on, else they are off..
that way they turn on/off with the brights.. I still wonder where all these people are coming from headed into town at midnight and later.. I know I am going home.. out of town.

Macguy,
What wattage HID kit did you use? I installed a 55W hi/lo hid kit and it help out the low beams a good bit. the high beam is still less than perfect though. Then again, I am use to the headlights I had on my BMW that I traded in for this truck....those headlights were awesome.
