No prob and I can certainly appreciate a budget. I read review after review and saved until I could afford what I wanted. I should've chaned these a year ago, so not necessarily the best technique lol. I just hope I like them once I put them on. Been too busy and waiting on a replacement for a shock that arrived unpressurized.
Im in the same debate..the only thing turning me from the Rancho 9000xl's is wont the ***** freeze up after a year or two in the salt from winter? i probably wouldn't get the my ride right away if i get them.
I have also thought about that. I can say that the ***** on mine are plastic, so I think that helps. I also plane to spray the shocks with WD40 before the first snow and continue this after each wash. I work with a guy who routinely sprays under his F150 with WD40. A 6 year old truck and the undercarriage looks brand new!
Thats good to know! I wish my dad had thought of that when it was his now i have rust everywhere. I lucked out though because my girlfriends dad opened up a garage so now i have access to a lift and all the tools i need. So I'm pulling my bed and painting everything with POR 15 along with pulling the cab too....sorry to go way off topic but thats my main concern because if people have experience with them freezing then ill probably get he bilstein 5100's.
