Tuner info

I want to buy the tuner and custom tunes from Matt at gearhead, however he said they need the strategy to load the tunes. Is that something that the scan Gauge can pull or will I have to get the tuner then pull it then wait for the tunes to be sent to download them? Sorry if this sounds like a dumb question, but this is my first venture into "tuning" anything.

Know anyone than already has a tuner..... borrow it long enough to pull the strategy. If you don't have access to one, you are correct in what you said above. S/G won't do it.

Just did the same when I bought a SCT tuner from Matt, had to plug the new tuner in and allow it to discover the strategy. There are two one for the PCM and one for the transmission, he only needs the PCM strategy. I sent him that info in the morning and by that same evening, I had my new tunes emailed back to me. Props to Matt and Lars for great customer service.
