400 into a 75 highboy

Got a 75 highboy cheap w/o an engine or trans I have a good rebuilt 400 and short tailed np435 tranny that I plan to put in it, how ever I just cant seem to get a solid answer on motor mounts/frame perches. I have a bare block that I bolted to the trans and set in the frame which did "fit" but the output of the tranny pointed at the ground more than I liked. I have 400 perches from a 79 lowboy, but they dont line up w any of the holes in the frame. Do I just burn them in where they look like they belong or does anyone have a set out of a 77 that they want to part with? Or is there another solution to this?

I'd say they probably will work but none of the holes will line up. I don't think the frame widths are different in the front. If you could find a set of 77 highboy perches it would be the best.
