I am sure we have visited this topic before but i couldnt find anything for it on here, smog pump. What in the world does it do. from what i can see their is only one line going into it, looks more like a vacum pump to me but their is nothing powering it, so its got me a little confused. new to diesels sorry. any help would be appreciated.

No smog pump on these, there is a belt driven vaccum pump. Is that what you mean?

You might also notice a coffee can device by the driver's side fender. That is a vacuum reservoir for cruise control.

We were lucky enough to skirt the EPA, so no emissions junk what so ever.

i have noticed the vac reservoir and assumed that it was for cruise control considering theirs not much that's vac controlled on the truck. well thanks that took care of my emission questions. but while on the subject. does anyone know what the vacuum solenoid on passenger side of truck up in very corner controls? squirrels or mice have managed to eat thru that line but i havent noticed anything different.
