Smog Pump
Does anyone know why the smog pump on my 92 Bronco w/351 continues to squeak. I have changed the pump but it still continues to squeak. I know you're not supposed to lubricate it and it says the new pump may squeak for about 500 miles. ????

Why don't you just remove your smog pump? Does your state require an emissions test? I have my smog pump removed and I haven't had any problems. I had to get a shorter serp. belt, I believe it was a 92"/6 rib. You might even get some hp gains, not much but it really isn't necessary if your state doesn't require it.
