I currently have 02 sc f150 and in the process of buying a 11-12 f150. I am unsure which engine to buy. the 3.5 or 5.0. The 6.2 is not even an option due to gas milage and the 29 ft trailer I have the 5.4 does a good job so I do not need to go larger.
For those who have towed with the 3.5 or 5.0; can you give me some real life answers regarding how well they tow. the Pro and Cons

The Ecoboost gets crap for mileage when towing. It has to stay in the boost so much that it sucks gas. 9mpg if your lucky.

I would personally go 5.0 its a good running engine and will be much cheaper to maintain down the road when the warranty is gone.
