Ok so I posted an earlier thread about this same issue awhile back but today I noticed a weird thing with my 4.6 regarding the misfiring in #7. With the vehicle in park or neutral there is no mis at any rpms but when in gear, the mis is noticable especially under load or going of long steep inclines. What should I be looking at to fix this. I just dont understand whay it would run great in park/neutral but in gear it misses. Thanks for any help in this matter. 1998 Expedition 4.6 w/twin coil packs.

No load out of gear so the miss is less noticeable. I would say plug or wire. You can try swapping the plug and wire to another cylinder and see if the miss moves. If not it is probably either a coil pack or injector. You can also swap coils to see if it follows the coil.
