towing a 4x4 saftly
good day i need to ask a question about towing a 4x4 with a c6 auto,manual hubs and a np305 transfer case i want to take my truck to pickup a running 2wd truck that i just bought [about 200 miles away when i get there remove the front bumper mount a tow bar and tow it home will that hurt any thing if i knock the transfer case into nutral? can i tow it 200 miles i am thinking the transfer case would disconect both drive shafts am i correct in saying this? please advise thanks

Im guessing you mean you have an np205. You should be fine un locking the hubs and leaving the tcase in neutral. Leave the tranny in park though. The tcase is not a pressurized system so the gears just slodge around in oil.

perfect thank you and sorry my mistake yes i ment np205 puting the auto trans in park would keep the converter from turning,both drive shafts disconected and only the transfer case is turning?
