Why would you want dual 2 barrel carbs? You would actually get better mileage with dual 4 and than dual 2's and then have the extra kick in the pants when all 8 barrels are open.

If you live in Florida you should not have any trouble finding heads for your 429, there is a cylinder head place in central Florida that has a room full of old Ford heads, I bought ported DOVE heads for $200 and they have D3VE and later also or give a call to Powered By Ford in Orlando and they should be able to take care of you. Check Craigslist and poke around at the local junk yards, Florida is a big car and truck state so you just gotta look and you can find some heads

Save your money until you can afford to do this. I would also stop guessing at what will work & go to www.460.com. Learn 1st or you will be wasting a bunch of money. If you can't afford the BBF swap it out for a 302.

You werent sure if the water was there from the engine sitting opened up or if it was a head gasket/cracked head or what. Have you been able to diagnose that yet? There is no need to spend $ on another set of heads until you know that yet.

well when i changed the oil the first time, and ran it before i put any of the stop leak stuff in it, more water got into the oill, so then i ran some stop leak through and changed the oil again, now there is no more waterr

Probably a head gasket but hard to say. If it quit leaking just drive it, dont waste $ on heads until when and if you need them.
