Alright so i was looking on craigslist for some heads to go on my 429 and couldnt find any at all, i dont want to travel a long way and i dont wannt to spend 600 bucks a pop on summit, so does anybody have a set they could sell me? im looking for any kind, they can be d2's for all i care, or point me in the direction of somewhere i could find some cheapp, and not a pull-a-part, none near me, i live in florida
well i was looking on summit and i dont even see a dual 2bbl option, only dual 4bbl, should i just buy the dual 4bbl and put adapters on? or do they make a dual 2bbl?
Why would you want dual 2 barrel carbs? You would actually get better mileage with dual 4 and than dual 2's and then have the extra kick in the pants when all 8 barrels are open.
i posted that in the wrong threadd, the toher thread explained itt, butt i already have two 2bbls, and my options are two 2bbls or one 4 bll, i dont have enough money for two barrells, i got enough money for either a dual 2bbl intake or a 4bbl carbb
If you live in Florida you should not have any trouble finding heads for your 429, there is a cylinder head place in central Florida that has a room full of old Ford heads, I bought ported DOVE heads for $200 and they have D3VE and later also or give a call to Powered By Ford in Orlando and they should be able to take care of you. Check Craigslist and poke around at the local junk yards, Florida is a big car and truck state so you just gotta look and you can find some heads

Save your money until you can afford to do this. I would also stop guessing at what will work & go to www.460.com. Learn 1st or you will be wasting a bunch of money. If you can't afford the BBF swap it out for a 302.

in my other thread i explained there was water in the oill, and it only sealed up after i put some head gasket repair through the system, there is no more water in the oil but im not sure how long a fix-it-quik out of a bottle will last

You werent sure if the water was there from the engine sitting opened up or if it was a head gasket/cracked head or what. Have you been able to diagnose that yet? There is no need to spend $ on another set of heads until you know that yet.

well when i changed the oil the first time, and ran it before i put any of the stop leak stuff in it, more water got into the oill, so then i ran some stop leak through and changed the oil again, now there is no more waterr
