Dual Altenators

I was wondering if anyone knew if you can get the dual altenators option after the sale, like through FOMOCO parts or aftermarket. I wanted the option when I purchased the truck but I didnt want to wait 15 weeks or so for them to build the truck. It was the only option I didnt get that I wanted. Any help would be appreciated.

You should of waited

Cost is much more now. Can be done though. Heard it was around a grand?

I have a lot of power requirements, the stereo being the obvious, plus my truck is also used for off road rescue and its has emergency equiptment on board

I have a 500W amp running 4 door speakers and 2 10" subs. Do I need 2 alternators? Is there a voltage test I can do to see if I'm overworking the one I have?
