so i have a 1995 f150 351. im thinkin its got 3.55 gears? and no limited slip? i was wondering if you guys had any thoughts involving my figures to be right?
Go out to your truck, open the drivers door and read the axle code off the calibration decal on the door pillar, then compare it to the list below and you'll know what you got and won't have to guess.
its sayin "18" which states a 3.08 no LSD but for a 1991. i have a 95, any other charts closer to my year or do you think its the same regardless of year
If limited slip is important and you want to verify if further-jack up the rear axle and place the transmission in neutral and turn one of rear wheels in one direction-if the opposite rear wheel turns in the same direction- the differential has a limited slip. If the opposite wheel turns in the opposite direction-it is open.
alrighty, and what do you guys think about changin to a limited slip if i get a gear change, lower after i get a lift is what im lookin for. to diffiecult to be worth it?
Putting an LS or locker in when changing gear ratios is actually less work than keeping the stock open diff because you don't have to take the old assembly apart.
