Wheel Offset & backspace - Data gurus
Ref Vehicle: 1985 F250, Dana 44HD, 4WD. VIN: 1FTHF26L9FPB20202
This could be a tough one, hope someone can assist.
I am currently overseas and would like to purchase new wheels so they were there when I arrived at home. Could some data guru help me out with figuring out what the OEM Offset and Backspace is so I can order the correct wheels ……or what Offset/backspace I need for the new tires? Also will need the diameter of the hub opening I would need to accommodate the manual locking hubs.
New Tire specs: LT285/75R16 Approved Rim width: 7.5 – 9in, Measured Rim width: 8in, Section width: 11.65in, Overall diameter: 32.9in,
Tires presently on vehicle: 33x12.50R16.5 Specs: Approved rim width: 8.25– 10.5in, Section width: 12.4in, Overall Diameter: 32.6in
The factory original tires (data from window sticker) were: LT235/85R16. From the door sticker: Rims 16 x 6
The Lug pattern is 8 x 6.5.
I would like wheels as close to the original OEM specifications as possible as from what I’ve read this is what is optimized for best bearing wear and ride balance. Can anyone advise as to what offset and backspace rims I would need along with the diameter of the center hub opening .
Thanks in advance.
