Agreed. My Oil in the morning of 60 degree night is around 64. If your oil temp is 107 I would start their. I found the published for numbers for when things should happen are not always the most accurate.( At least for my truck) If nothing else you at least will have your oil temp sensor working for the other things.
That was after I had driven the truck and let it sit for a few hours. It had cooled down to 107. I have monitored my engine oil temp a few times with AE and it seems to be fine. I am pretty sure I narrowed it down to a bad relay this morning when I did more testing.
The (point) .7 volts indicates the PCM's grounding circuit IS working. The output is what is called "open collector", and the .7 is a "junction voltage". All normal.
That's a GOOD thing!
You are on the right track, but I wouldn't put the Stancor into "standby" service, I would USE it!
So I went out this morning when I knew the engine would be cold. Temp is 58 here. I tried to start and no dice. I wen and tested the relay and had .7v at the PCM input and nothing at the glow plug output. Then I heard it click and I had 12v at the PCM input. Then I jumped the relay and what do you know sh started. Looks like its jus the relay. Thank God! I wil swap in the AIH relay and get a stancor for standby.
Good, yeah at 107 degrees, the glowplugs would have only been activated for a few seconds honestly, maybe you "missed" the ground in that time frame. Another reason why the indicator LED is a good idea in my opinion.

I think you did too. You must have posted that while I was typing.
Just giving you a hard time. For those that may not have a pillar or want an LED anywhere you could always use a plug in voltage monitor that goes in the aux port and watch the voltage drop to know if the GP system is functioning properly.

So it was the relay, I tried swapping the AIH relay with the GP relay but they are different. The base on the AIH is bigger and would not fit in the other location. I ended up just stretching the wires. Luckily they were long enough. I will still get a stancor, but I just didn't wan to be stuck if it gets cold again.
