I have a problem, I have gear oil leaking from my speedometer cable. Do they make a kit to replace the cable and the gear, or is there a o ring kit for it. I only see one in the book. Should there be another o ring between the shaft and the cable? Or just replace the whole thing?

All you need is a new o-ring and there's only one. The original has hardened up allowing gear oil to seep out.
The little darlin' is only sold by itself, so even if you bought a new cable, you'd still have to buy the o-ring.
87036-S94 .. Speedo Cable O-Ring / Available from Ford.
More than likely your local MN dealer will have it, since the same one was used from the 1940's into the 1990's.
If local dealer doesn't have it, and you don't live in White Bear Lake, you can buy it from FTE sponsor tousleyfordparts.com .. located in...White Bear Lake.
I'd like to add my thanks as well, NumberDummy. I'd been checking the posts in prep for replacing the speedo cable on my 66 4x4 100 when I read your post. A quick check of my cable showed no O ring as you predicted. (newbie mistake) Having that part # made locating one much faster than waiting for mail order. Local dealers still didn't have one in stock but at least it's only a two day wait. Any other sage advice on the install?
