Thanks to Bill; NumbersDummy, able to purchase an OEM replacement speedometer cable for the T-18. I was so excited that I installed the cable but fail to consider adding speedometer cable lubricant. Since I do not know if the cable is pre-lubed; whether it best to be safe than sorry and remove the cable and apply the speedometer lubricant? Other than removing the instrument cluster it should not be a labor intensive task?
Seems like the cable should slide out from the speedo side but I think you'd have to undo the clip on the gear end. It's been quite awhile sense I put one in so I may be wrong.
I just ran across Ford's PTFE lubricant for driveshaft slip yoke splines is also recommended by them to lube speedo cables. It's still available from your local Ford Dealer.

WOOW. Bummer. Well, in the mean time you can PM me with your Dealership needs. I can't openly sell parts here but we can pow-wow over PM's. I am a Ford Parts Man at a Dealer in Arizona. And I give all FTE brethren a good deal. I am also King (2) in the 67/72 trucks "Kingdom" here. I just delete my sig when I'm on other boards.
