New injector time?
been off the site for a while as its been running good for the last 60000 km.
had 235 000 km on it when i did the HPOP,ICP,ICR, Oil cooler, powermax turbo, head gaskets, arp studs, blue spring upgrade, banjo bolt upgrade, fan clutch, water pump, AFE 3.5 downpipe with 4" back exhaust with the mufler, Egr delete, and glow plug rails.
Of all the research i did i missed one thing INJECTORS...
Now im near 300 000 km and i have a bad injector and one thats on its way. Using a Snap-On Modis scanner and cylinder contribution test & manual injector shutoff i was able to tell that the injectors were toast as no codes are being thrown.
few questions:
1: should I replace with factory or bigger aftermarket. Just have a 100hp edge chip. and no othe mods or parts yet...
2: do the new injectors have to be taught into the ficm like in some other vehicles? I believe it has to do with resistance values are never the same
3: could the banjo bolt upgrade be a problem for injectors? the stock 6.0l banjo bolt has the check valve in it to posibly prevent fuel from flowing out of the head back to the fuel filter. and air in the injectors before startup would cause it to knock eccesively and lead to failure ??
Froma Bad/Overfueling injector
You can go bigger injectors BUt you will need a Custom tune to get Air/Fuel ratio Right
You should go with a regulated return fuel system if your going to Push it hard and sounds like your Close
