I have an 02 extcb XLT w/tow, 4.0L V6. Info I 've seen I can tow 5870 GVW max. Anyone towed/ing a 5th wheel? If so what's the under/over on the GVW and what's a good trailer dry weight to look at?

Based on Ken00's notes, here is additional info.
2002 Ranger 4x2 ExtCab 4.0L V6 Automatic w/tow pkg. Anybody towing a 5th wheel with a Ranger like this?
I don't know anything on the 5th wheel, just wanted to welcome you, i'm sure someone will have some information for you or you can also try our towing forum.
Welcome! I have pulled a couple of different 5th wheels, 24' & 33'. The 24' was a lite weight 7800# and I pulled it with a 99 3/4 ton crew cab Chevy w/350 V8. It was marginal for towing the 24', due to "braking" and power in the mountains. I bought a F250 w/PSD for the 33' and it was great. I have seen Toyota Tacomas tow "small" 5th wheels. but I have not seen any Rangers w/5th wheels. You have to have enough capacity to "stop it", besides haveing enough power to pull it. Good Luck!
