Considering a F350
Hey Guys,
I am new to the forum but not to the truck world. I am looking at two trucks, one a 07 F150 and the other is a 04 F350 Powerstroke 4x4. I have always wanted a diesel, and I know of the troubles the 6.0s have. My real question is since it is a 6.0 with 120k on it. is it worth to buy? looks to be in great shape clean in and out supercab long bed. Would it be a good buy a 14,500???

We have a lot of people that work in them for a living and some
very well informed people that drive them. We are all willing
to help.
6.0's are not as bad as some people would have you think.
Teat them wrong and get get problems. Treat them right and
they are just as good or better than any other truck.
On the 6.0 you are looking at in my case that is not so bad
a price. I paid more for a 06 F350 CC Long bed 4X4 with 145K
miles. All the $$$ work had just been done at the dealership.
With the 6.0 You do need to check for a few things so you know
it the price is right or too high. One thing you need to take with you
is a Scanguage II to check those things. I am not good at listing
the things you want to check but come over to the 6.0 forum and
ask you will get the answers you need to know to make an informed
purchase.

also take a good code reader and check the codes after you test drive it. Code can be there with out a check engine light showing. Heck on your test drive take it to a parts house that can read it for you, a good dealer wont mind.

Second thing to answer for yourself is do you need / want a one-ton or half-ton. Additionally will the supercab work for your needs. As for me I needed the crew my kids are both teenagers and pretty tall.

I dont need one. But ive always wanted a diesel and i have learned that when bugs are worked out of the 6.0 they are an outstanding truck.
