Yes you can use the front center seat from an F250/f350 instead of the center console. Peter (aka Duck Fan) did it to his X. He spends most of his time over on the 7.3 forum so I am not sure he will chime in.
He did say he had to remove the arm rests in order for them to work. Most people have to cut the bolt off for the arm rest but he did say if you remove the seat covers you can then remove the bolts without having to cut it out.

Yep, did it.
You will need to remove the arm rests, and posts. Make sure you tape off the area well as you don't want to catch ant thing on fire when you grind away the posts.
Apperantly the ,11-12 model centre bench fit also. The added benefit of a high back and shoulder belt. I would Change mine in a heart beat if I could find one for a decent price.
