Flat V8 pilot bushing.

Ordered a pilot bushing fro C&G and they sent a bearing. The old setup was a flanged bushing that was in the flywheel. Which is correct? It appears that the bearing must go in the crankshaft because there is no flange on it.
Or does it make a difference?

Not really aslong as the OD fits the crank and the ID fits the input shaft and
if not they probably sent you a pilot bearing for a 337 V8. I rather have
a bearing than a bushing.

Bearing: B-7600
Bushing: 70-7600

Both of these locate in the flywheel and have no flange. Personally I prefer a bushing since it can never seize like a bearing.
