External Mirror Switchout

Have an '03 F250 SD with power Euro-style mirrors. Want to replace with extendable Tow mirrors. I figure since I have power mirrors now, the electrical harness will be the same for Tow power mirrors. (right?).

Question is, what if I want to replace with power Tow mirrors with directionals?? I know that they not only have directionals, but are heated. Is the harness still the same, but the parts of the harness for the directionals/heat just not used? Or will I have to do a bunch of rewiring and add a new harness, which is entirely too much ***-pain to undertake.

My feeling is that if Ford offered the 03s with optional power tow mirrors with heat and directionals, they would keep all harnesses the same and just not use the parts of the harness if another mirror option was used on purchase.

Any help?

Thx >> Warbird
