I dont really deal with 1/2 ton stuff to much, but I have a BARE 3/4 ton frame(reg cab long bed)in my garage. I can pickup one end, so I would say the total frame weight would be 400-500lbs. Maybe even less

That would have been my guess. I have a 1/2 ton truck sans engine, tranny, and bed sitting behind the shop. While I can't pick the rear of the frame fully off the jack stands, I can budge it. And, w/o the springs, tank, and axle housing I'd bet I could pick it up.
Oddly enough, I've been guessing the weight of a bed at about 400 lbs as well, and that's because I can pick up my side of one of the beds and carry it several feet - like off of one frame, around it, and over to another frame. And, at 65 and 175 lbs I'm not as strong as I used to be so I can't be carrying over 200 lbs.

You are right about the bed weight. In my research, others had said 400-450 lbs. When I got my "newer" bed, we had 4 guys to move them, and it was pretty easy.
