accelerator spring tention

accelerator spring tention
I've got a 2005 Expedition. Everyone, except me, that drives it says the gas pedal pushes down too hard. I can kinda see their point, and yes it does push rather hard. Is there a way to loosen some spring tention or something?
Compared to my son's 07 f-150, my gas pedal is a little stiff to push.

hard to press accelerator
Going to have to look at it, I didn't realize it may not have a cable or linkage of sorts. Sure feels like it would be a spring tention issue. I'll get back to all to let you know what I come up with.
